C’est sous le thème: Cité invisible/Invisible City que Champ Libre prépare actuellement la 7e MANIFESTATION INTERNATIONALE VIDÉO ET ART ÉLECTRONIQUE, MONTRÉAL (MIVAEM), événement biennal qui se déroulera du 20 septembre au 1er octobre 2006 sur le site de la Grande Bibliothèque à Montréal. THE 1ST OF FEBRUARY 2006 IS THE DEADLINE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR PROJECTS FOR THE 7TH BIENNALE OF CHAMP LIBRE TO TAKE PLACE AT THE GRANDE BIBLIOTHÈQUE IN MONTRÉAL DURING THE FALL OF 2006.

February 1st 2006 is the deadline for the submission of international artistic projects for the 7th edition of Champ Libre’s biennale, which will be held at Montreal’s Grande Bibliothèque in September 2006.

Champ Libre is presently preparing the 7E Manifestation Internationale Video et Art Électronique, Montréal (MIVAEM) under the theme Cité Invisible/Invisible City, a biennale event which will stand from September 20th till October 1st 2006 at the Grande Bibliothèque in Montreal. We remind artists, curators, architects and lecturers that the deadline to present artistic projects to Champ Libre for this event is the 1st of February 2006. CHAMP LIBRE À LA FOIRE INTERNATIONALE D’ART VIDÉO LOOPS’05 À BARCELONE ET AUX 10E RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES PARIS/BERLIN À PARIS

Les co-directeurs de Champ Libre François Cormier et Cécile Martin de même que l’artiste québécoise Isabelle Hayeur seront présents à Barcelone à la plus grande foire d’art vidéo internationale en Europe: LOOPS’05. Champ Libre y présentera un dispositif de diffusion in situ à la fondation Nau Ivanov qui présentera des oeuvres d’artistes dont celles de : NELSON HENRICKS, PAUL LANDON, PASCAL GRANDMAISON, JOWITA KEPA, YAN BREULEUX, MITCHEL AKIYAMA, PATRICK BÉRUBÉ ET ISABELLE HAYEUR. Par ailleurs Champ Libre présentera à Paris une conférence sur l’architecture et les nouveaux médias lors des 10e RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES PARIS-BERLIN. Cet événement européen transdiciplinaire est devenu au fil des ans un espace incontournable de découverte et de réflexion entre nouveau cinéma, création vidéo et art contemporain.

La rencontre de Champ Libre à Paris aura lieu le dimanche 20 novembre à 18h au CINÉMA L'ENTREPÔT, 7/9 rue Francis de Pressensé 75014 - métro: Pernety.

Cette présence à de Champ Libre à l’international est rendue possible grâce au soutien du Conseil des Arts du Canada, du Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, du consulat général de France à Montréal et du Bureau du Québec à Barcelone.

CHAMP LIBRE AT THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF VIDEO ART LOOPS’05 IN BARCELONA AND AT THE 10TH RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES PARIS/BERLIN IN PARIS

Champ Libre’s co-directors François Cormier and Cécile Martin along with the artist Isabelle Hayeur (Québec) will be in Barcelona at the most important European fair of video art: LOOP’05. Champ Libre will present an in situ broadcasting set up at the foundation Nau Ivanov, which will present art works including those from: NELSON HENRICKS, PAUL LANDON, PASCAL GRANDMAISON, JOWITA KEPA, YAN BREULEUX, MITCHEL AKIYAMA, PATRICK BÉRUBÉ AND ISABELLE HAYEUR.

Furthermore, Champ Libre will present in Paris a conference on architecture and new media during the 10th RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES PARIS-BERLIN. This European transdisciplinary event has become with years an unmissible discovery between new cinema, video creation and contemporary art. Champ Libre’s presence on the international scene is possible with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, the French General Consulat in Montreal and the Québec Government Office in Barcelona.

Champ Libre fêtera en 2007 le 15ème anniversaire de sa fondation. En tant qu'organisme artistique des plus dynamiques du milieu des arts électroniques et de l'architecture à Montréal, Champ Libre prépare une grande soirée bénéfice originale et inédite le mercredi 11 avril 2006. Cette soirée d'avantgarde oscillera entre architecture, paysage sonore et art électronique. Cet événement se déroulera dans le jardin Nature Légère / Lipstick Forest du Palais des Congrès de Montréal conçu par l'architecte paysagiste montréalais Claude Cormier.

Pour sa part l'artiste espagnol mondialement connu Francisco Lopez présentera dans ce même lieu 3 performances d'architecture sonore inédites in situ inspirées d'enregistrement et de captation réalisé par l'artiste dans les forêts de Pantagonie, du Costa Rica et du Québec, représantant ainsi un voyage au coeur des trois amériques.

In 2007, Champ Libre will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its foundation. As artistic organization of one of the most dynamic of the electronic art and architecture scene of Montréal, Champ Libre is preparing a great, original and most unusual happening on Wednesday April 11th 2006.
